| Description of the problem | Fuel pump relay recall. The fuel pump relay recall was performed on this vehicle by dealership. Recently, the vehicle begin having the same symptoms as in the recall. Vehicle would stop running after being cranked, would fail to crank, and would have extended cranking time. I observed no fuel pump sounds during no run/ no crank conditions. Ase certified shop diagnosed fault; repair was replacement of fuel pump relay installed during recall. Vehicle has had zero failure since this repair. This failure is as dangerous as original recall failure, and occurred within approximately 60,000 miles of recall. Shop manager stated this was second such failure his shop has fixed on already "fixed by recall" vehicles. |
