Description of the problem	Push button ignition is defective. The first year i owned the vehicle the push button ignition began to show problems. Intermittently the key-fob is not recognized by the car. Sometimes the car will not start. Because of this, sometimes it will not turn off. Sometimes i have started the vehicle and am driving down the road when a bell begins ringing and message appears on dashboard that says "key has left the vehicle". I have to tap the key-fob on the button several times for it to finally recognize that it is present. I have changed the batteries in the key-fob often. Finally, last month, i decided to have the jeep dealer replaced key-fob at cost of $300. Three weeks later the same thing is happening. Jeep service department admitted they replace 2-3 key-fobs a week for customers. I suspect the problem is with electronics in the dashboard.
