| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2012 jeep grand cherokee. After the vehicle was serviced under nhtsa campaign number: 14v540000 (service brakes, hydraulic), the brake pedal was depressed but failed to operate. The dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. Six weeks later, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake pads needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, two weeks later the failure occurred.
