| Description of the problem | I started my vehicle up on a cold morning, -5 degrees. Brought vehicle up to 40mph, applied the brakes, noticed the pedal was stiff. Brakes weren't working, and dashboard brake warning light was on. Managed to stop and park vehicle. Brought to dealership last night (2/14/14) where vehicle was diagnosed with bad brake booster. Upon further investigation online, brake boosters were affected by cold whether all over the northeast part of the country. Vehicle was extremely difficult to stop. Service manager seemed familiar with the problem and reported that parts were being ordered from the manufacturer. I feel obligated to report this situation with the hope that something will be done about this problem before someone gets hurt. |
