| Description of the problem | The latest incident happened sunday 11/29/20. Prior to this, the event has happened at least 4 other times. While driving at highway speed 55-70 and slowly coming down to a stop on a ramp or turning the vehicle while decreasing speed, the engine will stop running. No visual or auditory warnings happen, you're only aware when you feel the power steering has gone away, and the tachometer reads zero rpm. I have been able to safely pull off and stop in each event, the vehicle needs to be cycled off and then restarted. The safety concern is this event could happen into left turn across oncoming traffic with no ability to accelerate out of harms way. |
