Description of the problem	Vehicle would not start. Vehicle was towed to dealership and fuel pump relay was identified as the cause of the problem, recall exists and the fuel pump relay was replaced. However, fuel pump relay caused the battery to drain also necessitating replacement. Fca/mopar only authorized reimbursement of the fuel pump relay and not for the battery even though it was directly related and the dealership technician stated the same. Spoke with multiple reps from fca who could not provide any assistance. An oil change and systems diagnostic test was performed on the vehicle just before the fuel pump failure and no issues with the battery were identified. I was told the battery could not be replaced because i tried to start the vehicle... Which seems incredulous to me as that is what most people do when they leave for work. How was i supposed to know the fuel pump relay needed to be replaced unless i tried to start the vehicle and it wouldn't turn over?
