| Description of the problem | Driving down hwy. For 10 minutes and battery light came on, short time later vehicle died. Battery cables on jumper side hot, strong smell of burned rubber. Battery and alternator very hot and could not be touched. Seem to be direct ground on 180 amp alternator. Had to replace battery and alternator just to get power back. Now more checks needed on computer. Same as p60 recall, however, chrysler tells me the 180 amp is not involved. |
