Description of the problem | Alternator burned up while vehicle on. Vehicle was being driven down city road and when i stopped smoke and burn smell observed. It was found that there was an internal fault in the alternator, which shorted out the battery, starter and ecm (computer). Car had to be towed for repair. Jeep would not compensate $2,624 in repairs and $267 car rental since it was not on recall. |
