| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2012 jeep grand cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the contact heard an unusual noise coming from the rear end of the vehicle. The vehicle then began to shake violently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the there were several rear bolts on the rear base of the tire axle flange that were loose and some had fractured off the base flange. The dealer replaced all the tire bolts. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact also mentioned that he had received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v115000 (electrical system) but the part as not available. The contact felt they exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 6,000. |
