Description of the problem	I was driving my car down a hill at approximately 45 miles and hour, eco mode was activated, and began to slow down the light when suddenly my check engine light and traction control light came on. I felt my car losing power and steering, but thankfully was able to coast to the side of the road before it totally shut off. I had it towed to a jeep dealership, where they inspected it and informed me that the timing chain broke. They had never seen this before and informed me it was not possible that this happened due to normal use of the vehicle. They recommended replacing the chain, tensioners, etc., which i had them do, but they went to test drive the vehicle and found there was damage to the valves. After researching this problem, i came across this exact same issue, occurring under the same or similar circumstances, in dodge challengers and chargers with the same engine (5. 7l v8 hemi) in the same year (2010). I saw that there was an open recall for those vehicles and called jeep to discuss this, but they informed me that while this was the same thing, there was no open recalls for my grand cherokee and so there was nothing they could do.
