Description of the problem	Vehicle suffers loss of acceleration. This can occur when merging into traffic, attempting to pass. Routinely happens after traveling on interstate at consistent speed but has happened when attempting to merge onto or off interstate. There have also been occasions when vehicle appeared to backfire discharging plume of white smoke. Diagnostics at the dealership did not show any problems but when a computer was hooked up to the vehicle, it captured unexplainable readings that astounded the mechanics. Dealership has changed two map sensors and this has not corrected the problem.
