| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2008 jeep grand cherokee 4x4. While driving at approximately 10 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle as it resumed normal operation. The dealer advised that the remote key starter would need to be replaced. The keys were replaced yet the failure recurred fifteen times. It would often take several attempts to restart the vehicle. The dealer replaced the ignition system computer switch. The contact was provided with a new set of keys three times but to no avail. The contact was able to locate nhtsa recall campaign id number: 08v059000 (electrical system) but was advised by the manufacturer that her vin was not included. The failure persisted. The failure mileage was 16,000 and the current mileage was 17,900. |
