Description of the problemI was not able to control the speed of my vehicle during acceleration. When i accelerated, the car would significantly decrease in speed almost as if it was running in low gear. It has happened at least 4 times since i purchased the car brand new. Today at 60,000 mi it happened twice. A few months ago i tried to merge onto the freeway and lost power which was very dangerous and i had to turn on the hazard light and quickly pull over to the shoulder. I noticed all of the lights [ p, r, n, d] on the dash board were on. The car seems to reset when i shift to park or turn the ignition off and then on. The problem happens intermittently. I believe that this could be a manufacture defect. I took the car to 2 authorized jeep chrysler dealerships to get it checked out. One dealership told me that they've never heard of the problem, another one found a code u0404 but didn't know what it meant. I find this extremely dangerous and could be a manufacture defect. *tt
