| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep grand cherokee. While driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle began to decelerate with the illumination of the transmission warning indicator. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The engine was turned off and restarted. The vehicle resumed normally without the warning light illuminated. The failures occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three occasions and they were unable to determine the cause of failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the gear shifter module was replaced. The failure recurred two times after the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000. |
