| Description of the problem | My daughter was driving her 2007 grand cherokee away at college. Several times as she was driving along the roads with traffic, the transmission seemed to go neutral and all gear indications lit circled as though it was in all gears, but was not "driving". When it finally kicked back into gear it accelerated quickly. She had to break and pull over several times this happened. We had the car towed to a dealership and they replaced an electronic module. This could be a deadly failure. Two dealerships' service departments i have asked have heard of it but say it isn't a widespread problem, a sales manager where we bought it claims never to have heard of this. |
