| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 jeep grand cherokee. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver, and the brakes failed when the pedal was depressed. In addition, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was able to start after the failure, but the check engine light continued to illuminate. The failure recurred intermittently. The contact received a notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system); however, the part for the recall was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000. |
