| Description of the problem | I own a both 2006 and a 2007 jeep grand cherokee srt-on the 2007 model, the front left tire failed from tread separation during early october (tires were not very worn) - i had all four tires replaced. Unfortunately, the front left tire on my 2006 jeep failed yesterday (11/30/2008) with approximately 29,000 miles on the odometer. In this most recent failure, about 2 inches of tread on the inner side separated and came completely off the tire. I have thus had identical tire failures on two separate vehicles equipped with the same oem (goodyear) tires. In both cases, apparent tread wear was not high. |
