| Description of the problem | Passenger rear door handle broken off due to cheap, defective plastic the door panel is made of. Upon further inspection, all 3 of the other doors have the same cracks in the door panel - it is only a matter of time before the plastic on those cracks and chips off, and those door handles also break off. You can not open the door from the inside once the handles break off - this is a defect in the doors. This is not a result of wear and tear on a vehicle that had less than 50,000 miles when we purchased it. I have never owned a vehicle where broken door handles are considered normal "wear and tear". The cost of repair is $600-$700 per door panel - chyrsler needs to own the fact that these parts are defective and cover the cost for their owners. There are many, many posts on the internet regarding this issue from hundreds of jeep owners - it is inexcusable. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S.
