| Description of the problem | I have a 2006 jeep grand cherokee, all four door handles have cracks around the plastic. My back passenger door handle has actually come off. I am concerned for obvious safety issues. Once you are in the car you cannot exit through that door. I only became aware of the situation in december 2013. When the rear door handle fell off. I contact the chrysler corporate immediately, and they told me to go through the dealership. After weeks of going back and forth they finally agreed to pay only one third of the total cost. I believe this is a defect on their part, and should be responsible for 100% of replacement. I also understand from the dealership that this is a very frequent issue with this model. |
