Description of the problem	Tlthe contact owns a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. While driving 45-50 mph, the steering and brakes locked and then the vehicle shut off. The ebs light flashes on the instrument panel and the vehicle has to be restarted. The contact has been to three different dealers and was informed that they could not duplicate the failure. She was given a black box for a week to record the failures, but no failures occurred during that week. On one occasion, she was informed that the ebs system was not registering and the code was exsp-bas. The system failure was witnessed by family members. The vehicle is currently at the dealer. The current mileage was 8,666 and failure mileage was 3059. Updated 03/14/08. lj the consumer stated the vehicle lost power on several occasions.
