Description of the problemI was driving my 2006 jeep grand cherokee approximately 30 mph and applied the brake pedal. Without warning the brakes hesitated when depressed, the pedal went mushy, i had no braking control and the abs started cycling like i was on a patch of ice. This lasted for approximately 10-15 seconds. The esp, abs, check engine, and traction control indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. After the dash lights illuminated the brakes worked but abs and traction control did not. I periodically have instances where the brakes cycle on various wheels, i assume this is the abs cycling the brakes. After a period of time ranging from hours to a couple days, the affected instrument panel warning lights go out and the whole process starts over again within a few seconds to minutes. The first time the car was taken to the dealer they said it threw off to many error codes to troubleshoot. The dealer cleared the codes and asked me to return when it happened again. I just returned the car the second time. The car is unsafe to drive in this condition.
