| Description of the problem | The transmission in my 2006 jeep grand cherokee has been slipping. I had it checked out and i was told it is ok. Then a few weeks later, i take off from a stop light and my engine revs to 3000 rpm and i am losing speed in heavy traffic. Then the engine light came on. So i take it to the dealer. They check it out and tell me it is the electronics in the shifter that is bad. I ask what is wrong and the service advisor takes me to the mechanic. He tells me about the issue and says that they have seen alot of these issues and the back order on the part is 450 parts in the negative. I think this is a potential problem and should be investigated for a possible recall. |
