| Description of the problem | 2006 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 4. 7l v8 with 27199 miles. Vehicle stalled while traveling at highway speeds accompanied by a total loss of electrical power including headlights. Steering and brakes were both difficult to use while attempting to slow vehicle and pull onto shoulder. This is a very unsafe condition and there was no warning prior to the event. Towed to dealership and was informed there were no codes in the system and they were unable to find a problem after two days of diagnosis and road testing. I have read numerous reports of similar problems, and the 2006 jeep commander with the same engine was recalled for the same issue. |
