| Description of the problem | 2006 jeep grand cherokee - all safety warning lights as well as engine lights flash on and off, rpm gauge drops, all lights around gear panel light, doesn't seem to know what gear it is in. Sometimes it is just the lights on the panel flashing on and off. No codes read when taken to mechanic. Put a new batter and alternator in the vehicle. Problem is intermittent. May happen a few times in a row and then go away for days or weeks. Lost power brakes and steering as well a few times, luckily no accidents resulted due to loss of power. You can hear a clicking noise when the panel lights are flickering on and off. This problem has been occurring for the last year and a half. I had a complete transmission service as well. |
