| Description of the problem | The vehicle's gauges will turn off while driving randomly. The speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge will all zero out for unspecified amounts of time. Sometimes 10 seconds, other times until the vehicle is started back up. This occurs when the vehicle is in motion. Sometimes it causes the car to completely shut off and come back on. While shut off, the car sounds like it is struggling to continue its forward progress. This happens every couple thousand miles (2-3 months apart). Once the car corrects itself, the check engine light appears. After starting the car 2-3 times, the misfire corrects itself and the check engine light turns off. |
