| Description of the problem | When i called the manufacturer this morning, nov 19, 2014 (my car failed to start) regarding a recall notice, i was advised that i would have to pay for a "temporary fix" out of pocket because the recalled part was currently unavailable. No further recourse was addressed and since my car is intermittently starting and has occasionally stalled while driving, i am stuck driving a potential hazard, or being stranded without a vehicle at all, until replacement parts are made available to me. I have already replaced the faulty ignition part, at my own expense (more than $700) , in 2012 prior to the recall. Clearly even that part was a "temporary fix," though that was never communicated to me. |
