| Description of the problem | My 2005 jeep grand cherokee has had all 4 door handles crack and 1 has completely broken off. After researching the internet, i have found that this is a common occurrence on this vehicle, and seems to be a major safety concern. In any occasion where exiting the vehicle quickly is necessary, broken door handle(s) can risk injury and death to occupants. This is not a minor issue, just like an emergency exit in a building, it can be potentially fatal. Nhtsa owes the people of the united states of america the common courtesy to acknowledge that this posses a huge risk for it's citizens. Please protect our right to safe vehicles, and the responsibility of auto makers to remedy any errors in design that pertain to human safety! |
