While driving approximately 45 mph with the air conditioner activated, the contact noticed warm air emitted through the vents with an unusual odor. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated the air conditioner evaporator was leaking. The vehicle had not been repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 71,000. Updated 02/17/12 *bf the consumer stated in order to fix the problem, it would require the entire dashboard and steering column to be removed. The failure has occurred twice.
