Description of the problemChrysler issued a recall for my jeep in 2014 for a faulty ignition switch. This defect could result in a motor vehicle accident or cause serious injury to the driver and occupants. I have tried since october 2014 to have this recall addressed to no avail. At all time i have been told the ignition part is not available. On april 30, 2015 i filed a complaint with nhtsa detailing the above recall information. I was issued complaint ;number 10713710 and told a letter would be arriving within two weeks from nhtsa. The letter never arrived. I visited my dealership earlier this month (july) and inquired about the ignition switch. I was told that the plant that was manufacturing the switch had burned down. What is the correct answer and reason for this delay. Is it chrysler does not want to make the repairs? Why hasn't nhtsa forced this issue with chrysler?
