Description of the problem	I am the owner of a 2005 jeep grand cherokee laredo. On more than 10 occasions since i have purchased the vehicle i have inadvertently shut of the engine by hitting the key with my knee while driving at highway speeds. I believe this is due to the placement of the ignition directly above the driver's knee. To date i have been able to maintain control of the vehicle and get it restarted before an accident occurred. However, without power steering if i had been on a curve i doubt i would have been able to maintain control of the vehicle. I have been in touch with daimler chrysler via email in an attempt to resolve this situation to no avail. This may be unique to me but i consider it to be a serious safety condition that needs to be rectified. I have asked them to allow me to terminate my lease without success. At this point there is no alternative but to ask that an investigation be initiated to determine whether my concern is an individual problem or a serious safety defect.
