Description of the problem	We were driving our 2004 jeep grand cherokee limited down an open highway (no trees, no cars around, etc.) at about 65 mph, and the sunroof exploded. It sounded like a gunshot, extremely loud. Fortunately, we did not have the interior roof open, and the glass that shattered did not get inside the vehicle. We explained the situation to the jeep dealership, and they said the repair of our sunroof would not be covered under the warranty since they had never heard of this happening before. We noticed on the nhtsa web site (via another complaint) that this had happened before to someone else, and the scenario is almost exactly the same -- same vehicle, same year. The other complaint shown on this site was logged february 2005.*jb
