| Description of the problem | The blender doors on my 2004 jeep grand cherokee's ventilation system failed without warning. I can only get air flow from the windshield defroster vent. This makes if difficult to warm up the vehicle in the winter. According to my research on the web, this type of failure is ridiculously common on this jeep model. I have scheduled an appointment to get the problem fixed, but my dealer has already warned me that the repair costs will be at least $500 or more. The dealer also stated that they had already performed the same repair on 2 other jeeps this winter. Once repaired, there is no guarantee that it won't happen again. Chrysler should recall the affected vehicles and come up with a solution to the problem. |
