| Description of the problem | I purchased a 2004 jeep grand cherokee overland in july 04. By mar 05 the car began violently shaking when the brakes were applied. The dealer acknowledged the rotors were warped and resurfaced them at no charge. By june 06 the violent shaking occurred again and both the front and rear rotors were so severely warped that the mechanic stated the car was a hazard and could not be driven. The rotors must be replaced but the dealer stated this it is a wearable item and will take no action. It is unreasonable to expect consumers to replace the costly rotors annually and it is causing an extreme safety hazard. *jb |
