| Description of the problem | 2004 jeep grand cherokee - all four brake rotors warped at 20,000 miles of normal driving (no trailer, etc.). Dealer machined the rotors. Suspect warping will occur again in less than 20,000 miles as less metal on rotors now. Dealer measured brake pads at 60% rear and 50% front, so those components seem ok. There is something in the design and/or manufacture of the brakes that causes warping. Fortunately, no accident. |
