| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2018 jeep compass. While the contact was merging into highway traffic, the accelerator pedal suddenly became stuck and caused the vehicle to accelerate. During the failure, the speed increased to more than approximately 80 mph and several warning indicators illuminated, including the service engine and throttle. The accelerator pedal eventually became unstuck and the vehicle was shut off. After restarting the engine, the sensor warnings were no longer illuminated and the vehicle operated normally.
