Description of the problem	The vehicle was in motion on highway 180. The vehicles service engine light, transmission light, electronic parking brake, and service hill holder turned on. I stopped the vehicle in the sholder. I checked the transmission and engine oil and both were good. I tried putting the vehicle on drive and the electronic parking light came on and stopped the vehicle from going on drive. The light stayed on for the electronic braking service. I was able to take it off the brake still with the service lights on. I was going to shift it into drive when it made a strong popping and screeching sound on the transmission when placed on reverse. I moved it to drive and it did the samething. I tried giving it gas and the d for drive would just blink and the vehicle would not move. I waited 30 minutes and tried moving it but nothing happened. I switched the gear from parking to drive hearing the popping sound as i shifted from the p r n d. I was able to drive it for 10-15 minutes and the transmission started heating up from 180f to 192f. While leaving the vehicle stopped for a while the transmission temp did cool off but i will have it serviced since i am still stopped at the highway with my family while writing this.
