| Description of the problem | I purchased a 2017 jeep compass in december 2019, from a major nationwide rental agency, with a 36 month warranty. I was driving the vehicle at 530am, in darkness, at 65 mph in a straight direction, in the middle lane of a major highway, when the engine abruptly shut off. I was able to make to to the shoulder of the road, but with difficulty because the power steering had stopped working as well. The vehicle would not restart and had to be towed to a jeep dealership, where the warranty would not cover the full repair. |
