Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2017 jeep compass. The contact purchased the vehicle brand new on may 13, 2017. The contact was not made aware that the vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v301000 (power train) until the monday after purchasing the vehicle. When the contact inquired as to why the northwest chrysler jeep dodge dealer sold him a brand new vehicle with an open recall, the contact was informed that the recall was a pre-notice and they would receive parts for a recall at a later date.
