| Description of the problem | Every. Single. Time i try to open my hood, the release located under the hood (not inside the vehicle) will not move. I have had to use a board to pry the lever over and have taken it to the dealership and they had to use a giant screwdriver. It is practically impossible to open the hood by myself. Just now i tried pushing the lever with a board as i have done before, but the latch will not budge even then--if anything it only moves further onto the "ring" instead of off from it. In case of an emergency, ie. A beginning fire or possible fire in the engine, i would not even be able to get a fire extinguisher in there, i would just have to stand back and watch my car go up in flames. I have nearly broken my hand trying to get the thing open and i cannot even change the oil now. |
