Description of the problem	The front passenger seat belt malfunctions when a person is sitting in the seat. I have taken the vehicle several times to the dealer & it is still not corrected. I have an open investigation with chrysler corporate too. Corporate has acknowledged there is a serious problem with all 2016 jeep compass seat belts on the front passenger side but still expect people to drive their vehicles knowing there is a problem & they say the vehicle is unsafe to drive. If a person is sitting in the seat the alarm will go off indicting the seat belt needs to be fastened when in fact it is. It will also think a person has a seat belt on while the vehicle is in motion when they really don't. I have video of this & eyewitnesses. I have question the airbag linkage to the seatbelt malfunctioning if it can cause the airbag to fail or malfunction & corporate is unsure if this is possible. I have actually tried to trade the vehicle & cannot because all other dealers are aware of this issue and refuse to take it. I have been fighting this since i have owned the vehicle which i bought march 2016. After i bought it i took it back to the dealer within an hour & a half and informed them of the seat belt issue and they blew it off and have continued to blow it off until corporate got involved but both sides can
