| Description of the problem | My 2014 compass has continuous issues with the throttle/throttle body and or catalytic converter. 3/2019 had a used cc put on with local mechanic (out of pocket $)- 5/2019 new throttle body covered by extended warranty/ 9/2019 intake manifold gaskets replaced (out of pocket $) 12/2019 cc replaced per recall plus ignition coils replaced (out of pocket $). It appears as thought this vehicle has continuous issues related to the fuel injection system.. Throttle.. Etc. The vehicle continues to experience loss of power.. Sluggish throttle and random times, smell of fuel or exhaust and jerking motions when pressing the gas. These issues are the same issues i have experienced with the vehicle over the years while addressing the above referenced issues. While there is no check engine light on.. The issues happen more and more frequently. I have presented my vehicle at a general mechanic and a transmission shop (both out of pocket expenses) and without a failure code.. Or an apparent issue at the time of arrival.. Recreating the issue is difficult. I am really struggling with this issue.. As i am a single mother trying to rebuild my life after experiencing job loss due to covid19. I am employed and rely heavily upon my transportation.. Can i have some insight as to what qualifies a vehicle for certain recalls? I see that my vin is not included with any current recalls.. But the engine and or fuel system is doing the same thing as prior to repairing the cc and other components that were out of pocket expenses. The vehicle itself will experience the "dragging" engine while after stopping and then starting again.. In rush hour traffic and crossing intersections. I am very afraid the engine will stall out causing an accident as it has nearly happened multiple times. Please let me know what can be done about this.. As i am in desperate need of some help right now. |
