| Description of the problem | I was loading my ten month old son into the back passenger side seat on a hot day. The car had been parked in the sun and it was 90 degrees outside. I pushed the remote start on my key fob to get the car cooling off while i finished fastening my son's harness and tossed the keys onto the passenger seat to free my hands. The car did not start because i had the door open, however the doors did all lock. I realized the doors were all locked when i went to open the driver side door. Immediately i ran back inside and had my mom call 911 while i sprayed cold water on the car with a hose. Emergency vehicles showed up and had to break the driver side window in order to get my son out of the car. If the car is intuitive enough not to start the engine with a door open it should know not to lock all the doors! |
