| Description of the problem | Catyliac converter recall my jeep had sudden issues with acceleration on highway until it broke down and i was nearly in a accident took jeep to midas who found that my engine overheated destroying other components in engine compartment and engine had blown and needed to be replaced other components cost 2000 dollars and engine will cost 6000 dollars by jeep to be replaced but also my catyliac converter was recalled i was informed by several mechanics that catyliac converter failing could cause the airflow issues for motor and cause cylinders to lose compression due to cylinders rods bending and damaging engine after running compression test cylinders had no compression i informed dealership who called midas liars and accused me of not knowing anything i got catyliac converter replaced but motor is already destroyed chrysler corporate denied all fault even after providing all evidence proving that the catalytic converter was the original issue i feel that in the catalytic converter recall should include the potential that the engine could fail and causing the cylinders to lose compression |
