Description of the problem	Initial indication was a check engine error. Mechanic troubleshot and determined error related to fuel system. Removed replaced suspected faulty gas cap and error cleared. Within 62 miles across 19 days, the check engine error re-appeared. Mechanic troubleshot and found fuel system error again. Mechanic probed the fuel system and found that there was a fuel leak and fuel breach/puddling due to corrosion on the fuel pump. Mechanic removed & replaced the fuel pump to correct the leak and the check engine error message.
