| Description of the problem | Our jeep 2007 compass has had an issue with the drivers seat belt remaining latched. Most times it will unlatch itself within seconds of the click sound. And other times, it does unlatch while we are driving. We did take it to the dealership the same year we bought it, and they told us there was nothing wrong with the seatbelt. We complained to the dealership again the following year, and again, they said there was nothing wrong. It does not happen all the time, but, is still a safety concern for us because, if we were to get into an accident, that seatbelt may unlatch upon impact. |
