Description of the problem	Our 2007 jeep compass has been stalling completely (engine shuts off) shortly after we fill up the gas tank. This issue has been occurring for around one year. It has happened while driving or stopped at a traffic light, less than a mile from the gas station, usually within a few minutes of pumping the gas. We fear filling up the tank to the top because the car has stalled in lanes of traffic. In the better cases, it stalls at a red light. This is a dangerous situation. We were encouraged to file this report after corresponding online with other jeep owners who experienced this exact same issue.
