Description of the problem	2007 jeep compass with 38,200 miles on it. Heard clunking noise in front passenger side wheel area. Took to dealer and was told tie rods were blown out and vehicle unsafe to drive. So far jeep has not responded to a recall inquiry yet. I only do light driving to work, approx 4 miles a day, never have taken it off roading. $615 repair costs.
