Description of the problemDuring acceleration throttle became stuck. Vehicle started increasing in speed without the pedal being depressed. I initially held on the brakes for 3 consecutive compressions without any noticeable decrease in speed or rpm. Shifted car to lower gear along with brakes, still rpm and speed was increasing. Plan b was to shift into neutral and let the engine blow or shut vehicle off while driving on busy highway. In the midst of going through these actions vehicle stopped accelerating. Going to dealer first thing monday morning, god only knows what would have happened if my wife and kids were in this vehicle when this negligent, unsafe, hazard occurred. This is totally uncalled for in a basically brand new vehicle, me, my son and the innocent pedestrians along the highway were in jeopardy when this safety incident occurred.
