| Description of the problem | Jeep would not start. Starter continued to turn check engine light illuminated. Was able to get engine started once but starter didn't disengage. Had vehicle towed to dealership. Dealership was unable to investigate it for four days (thurs. - sunday) when i called on monday afternoon they could not locate my vehicle in the computer. I contacted the service manager. Half an hour later they told me my jeep needs a new fuel pump and would be ready tomorrow afternoon. They couldn't find it earlier because the technician did not enter the vehicle in the computer under my name. The jeep is 2 months old with only 1600 miles on it. I only got a rental car for my troubles because i purchased an extended warranty. Normal warranty makes no provisions for a loaner vehicle. This is not the 5 star service i have come to expect. A brand new vehicle that doesn't start should receive priority status. If i had known it would take desert dodge 4 days to look at my vehicle i would have had it towed to the other 5 star dealer in las vegas or waited for an appointment as i still have to pay tax on the rental car and my warranty is only for 5 days. |
