| Description of the problem | Air bag light began coming on and off intermittently, whether driving or stationary, eventually staying on most of the time. Periodically while driving it would go off them immediately come on and chime. Took to a chrysler dealer and was advised the clock spring in the steering wheel needed to be replaced as it was faulty and would not deploy the air bag if involved in a crash. Researched the issue and found several other complaints for this model as well as recalls for 2007 to 2010 jeep wranglers which have the same steering system. Clock spring was subsequently replaced by dealer for a significant cost, correcting the problem. |
